Week 2
Another busy week here in Costa Mesa. We've put in all the large pipework that flanks the organ chamber on either side. Support steel for the Positive, Swell and Solo divisions have been located and installed along with their windchests, expression boxes and some key action components. Andrew has been directing a game of upside-down Tetris where each part that goes up into the organ chamber doesn't close off access to the next part. Jason's clever rigging of the cable hoist has saved us all a lot of heavy lifting.

The crew is holding up under a heavy load of humor and great food interspersed with bouts of hard work. Juan Carlos has been channeling the spirit of Mike Kraft– a disturbing development that keeps us alternating between tears and laughter. Josh has returned home but Will is here to take his place. We can use the fresh blood and another Spanish speaker to keep Juan diverted.

Our day off was spent variously relaxing, visiting family, fighting a stomach bug and for Jason, Juan & I a trip to San Juan Capistrano and Laguna Beach where I managed to sprain both my ankles in a large dumping beach break. Advil and Ace bandages are keeping me on my feet.

Nick, probably the smartest one among us, watches and shakes his head in amusement(?)
